Hedgie is a small student-built project in Ontario, Canada. We collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
What we collect, and why
| What | Why | Where it's kept |
|---|---|---|
| Waitlist: email, school, year, target role, and your consent to be emailed | To invite you to playtests and tell you when Hedgie launches, and to understand who it's for | Google Forms and Google Sheets |
| Site visits: pages viewed, rough country, device type, the site that sent you | To see whether people find the site and what's working. This is anonymous, uses no cookies, and doesn't identify you | Vercel Web Analytics |
| Your game progress: streak, grades, answers | So the game remembers where you left off | Only in your own browser. It isn't sent to us |
We don't collect payment details, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who else handles it
- Google stores waitlist answers (Forms and Sheets).
- Vercel hosts this website and counts anonymous visits.
These providers may store data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it can be subject to local law.
Emails
We only email you if you ticked the consent box. Emails will be about playtests and Hedgie's launch. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can just reply and ask.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist details until Hedgie launches publicly, then delete them unless you've chosen to stay on. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we'll do it within 30 days.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information, or withdraw your consent to emails, at any time. Email hello@playhedgie.com.
